One of a Kinds. Main colour of basic bear is cream & can be embroidered with any colours you wish.
Ideal for Special Occasions/Birthdays/Christmas etc.
Each 'Splattbear' is handmade using a variety of natural and recycled materials and comes with his or her very own detailed adoption certificate - printed on hemp card. The bears are stitched together using a sewing machine powered by solar-energy. They come personalised with your choice of child's name, hand-embroidered on the front of the bear, which also sports the Ecobears leaf logo.
Colours and materials will vary depending on availability. The fabrics consist of either: English hemp/recycled cotton/recycled wool OR recycled cotton/recycled wool. All bears have hand-embroidered blanket-stitch edging. 'Splattbears' are stuffed using upcycled polyester filling.

I design and create Ecobear characters, using solar energy, to raise awareness that homes, clothes, food and fuel can be made from sustainable natural hemp. I also design and handmake bags, soft furnishings & accessories from hemp, and, recycled & carefully chosen natural materials. I have been designing and making Ecobears since 1996. These Award Winning bears began as a combination of two passions - soft-toy making and environmental interest. My goal is to be able to bring a global awareness through toys & games, to the ecologically positive impact hemp can bring to a society. All being well (paws crossed!) - our children's book - The Ecobears - will be published in 2011. It shares a timely lesson, told in a fun and fantastical style :D

These Eco Bears are amazing. Ive ordered 3 now for various friends and family and they always go down well. What a nice way to bring a baby into the world with a teddy bear that has been made with love and has come from sustainable sources.
