I live in the center of Canada, on the prairies in a city named Winnipeg. My passion is colour. I use colour in both my paintings and my textile work, focusing on surface design and the use of dyes. Lately I have been learning and exploring natural dyes, but most of my work in the form of my clothing line is done with fiber reactive dyes. My love for gardening has changed my life, and I always make time in the summer to grow vegetables and lately dye plants. I value sustainability in my entire life. My clothing line and my artwork is all about finding ways to work in a more holistic way, using materials with less environmental impact, working with local suppliers and contractors to help me build the clothing which I design and then dyes after it is sewn.
